OHS in WA: Risk Assessments

Risk Profiling for your Business

The team at GWM Consultants can carry out a Risk Profile on your business to determine what level of risk your business is exposed to. This will help identify the greatest health and safety risks of your business and will provide you with a starting point for the Risk Management process outlined below.

Risk Management

Risk Management is the process where you:

  • Identify Hazards – identify what can cause injury or ill health in the workplace
  • Assess the Risk – the likelihood of the hazard occurring and the seriousness of the injury or ill health
  • Controlling Risk – implementing the most effective control measure that is reasonably practicable in the circumstances
  • Reviewing Control Measures – ensuring the controls you have put in place are working as planned.

Hazards

Hazards are anything in the workplace that has the potential to cause harm or adverse health effects to people.

Determining the level of Risk depends upon how frequently the work task/process is carried out, the number of personnel involved in the work and how serious the injuries or ill health may be should the hazard occur.

GWM Consultants can assist you with part or all of the risk management process.
